The following paragraph was recently added by 183.82.199.109 (talk · contribs) with an edit summary "minor edit":

Pakistan has constructed Left Bank Outfall Drain (LBOD) project to bypass the saline water which is not fit for agriculture use to reach sea without passing through the Indus delta.^[1] LBOD joins Rann of Kutch which is joint water body of India and Pakistan. Water released by the LBOD is enhancing the flooding in India and contaminating the quality of water bodies which are source of water to salt farms spread over vast area.^[2]

This edit seems problematic to me for a couple of reasons.

~~"Minor edit" seems a misleading edit summary for a completely new paragraph with two references.~~
At first glance, the statements in this paragraph do not seem to be accurate summaries of information in the linked articles.

Consequently, I will revert this paragraph. I welcome any discussion of whether I am mistaken about whether the summaries accurately reflect the sources cited. YBG (talk) 19:02, 1 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The total content addition is in three edits. Only last two edits were termed as "minor edits" and not the first one (90% of total content) which is the major content edition. The later two were correction of reference and minor content addition. Is it so big mistake/reason to delete the content unilaterally from your end?

You may have your own opinion from the content of the reference without having in depth knowledge on the subject. Is it not true that LBOD is constructed to rout the saline water unfit for irrigation to reach the sea via Rann of Kutch? Is it not true that from the ext. ref., Rann of Kutch up to Nal Sarovar (little Rann of Kutch) is getting water during the Indus river flooding? Where is the LBOD water going which is released into the Rann of Kutch? Is the water jumping into the sea without having effect on the Rann of Kutch water bodies? At least do some survey of internet literature and site refs. to support your views before contradicting/deleting others reasonable content if you do not want to be biased. The content is not blaming anybody but only bringing out the reasons for the recent changes that have taken place after 200 years. If you are aware of the answers to these queries, please enlighten the readers or restore the content back leaving it to readers judgement.183.82.199.109 (talk) 20:04, 1 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You are absolutely correct about labeling it "minor" -- that was an error on my part, and so I have ~~struck it out~~ above. Thank you for assuming good faith!

With regard to my other point, I neither agree nor disagree with the text added; I am merely pointing out that they are conclusions or perhaps synthesis of the material in the sources rather than being directly supported. That being the case, it seems to me that before this material is added to the article, it should have a directly supporting citation from a reliable source.
