Portions of this article appear to be insufficiently researched, explained, and/or documented: for instance, the idea that sides on a crib were a convenience (for what?), whereas they serve as a safety feature on an infant bed, begs disbelief. (E.g. a two year old requires safety protection that an infant does not?) "According to an expert of the time" needs documentation, please.

The text also needs several grammar corrections: for example, improper subject–pronoun agreement. Overly wordy and repetitive, and thus hard to follow. An initial attempt to revise, without knowledge of source material, renders an an insubstantial result. Catdav (talk) 02:22, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Rename to cot/crib?

[edit]

"Infant bed" applies to a variety of different types of bedding, but this article seems to be mostly about cots/cribs. There's an article about bassinets and moses baskets seem to be crammed in here. I think this should be renamed to cot or crib and a different article with this name written to incorporate the material from bassinets which seems to be talking about a lot more than just bassinets, but just different types of infant beds.
