What does this mean?

[edit]

The FX was based on the notion of a "Bionic Cheetah,"

This "Bionic Cheetah" concept is actually mentioned twice on the page, but the reference 2009 Infiniti FX37 and FX50 - Top Speed is no more enlightening. Seems like marketing gobbledygook, and I'm minded to remove. Centrepull (talk) 09:08, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, there were a couple sentences there which sound like they were based on Infiniti's PR department. I went ahead and removed them. carl bunderson (talk) (contributions) 05:00, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the "Future Trims" piece. It was written by some fanboy. It said in 2010 there was going to be some 500 HP Porsche Cayanne killer. Of course there were no references.

I removed "class leading" from the FX30d section, as it is incorrect, both by 2010 standards and modern standards. Examples include the vastly more powerful BMW X5 (40d, M50d) and VW Touareg R50. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.192.10.38 (talk) 23:57, 31 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

QX70 = new FX, but FX is not a successor of the QX56 or QX4

[edit]

QX70 (FX) is not related to QX, these models are absolutely different, fx is mid-size (and QX70 is based on it), QX4&QX56 are full-size

S51 Replacement

[edit]

A RWD replacement was in development, but has been now cancelled, plus that of the 2018 model year QX70. Expect a press release later this year explaining this, alongside matters regarding the 2018 model year range. A rebadged Murano for the 2021 model year is possibly in the cards, similar to the Rogue and 2018 QX50 sharing a platform. My information comes from a secondary Infiniti insider, not a senior executive. Carmaker1 (talk) 23:04, 7 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No mention at all of the FX45?
