Mongol Script

[edit]

Why isn't parts of the Mongol script displayed vertically like the rest? Shouldn't there be a Cyrillic translation as well as Latin?

Flag of Inner Mongolia

[edit]

File:Flag Of The Inner Mongolian People's Party.svg Is this a real regional or political flag of Inner Mongolia? -- Circesling 15:31, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

From what I understand, no Chinese provinces have official flags. (Of course, Hong Kong and Macau are SARs, and have flags.) To what degree this flag is in local unofficial use, I'm not sure. It reminds me of flags passed around claiming to be flags of the Mongol Empire or Yuan dynasty, which of course had no such category of symbol per se. Remsense 16:36, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Well Remsense, The flag was never used by Inner Mongolia Government and it's not a real regional flag, The flag of the Inner Mongolian People's Party is used by Mongolians who support Inner Mongolian independence, Circesling (talk) 16:51, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If it's to be included it on Wikipedia, that information needs to be sourced and correctly stated. So, it wouldn't be on this article, but the article for that movement, if it's used by them. Remsense 16:56, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I can see on the wikipedia page because it's in here, but it's the flag of Inner Mongolia which is not a regional flag. the flag of the Inner Mongolian People's Party was used by Mongolians who support Inner Mongolian independence Circesling (talk) 17:12, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That statement, if it is verifiable, will be in numerous sources which you can put on the statement. Regardless, since this article is for the province, it still would not go on the article for the province, it would go on the corresponding page for the movement.
In fact, the flag is already on that page, so I'm not sure what else would have to be done. Remsense 17:14, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
