I have completed a solid first version of the draft of Interference Freedom and look forward to comments. DavidGries (talk) 17:15, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia[edit]

Thanks for adding Algol 60 to History of programming languages. I don't know how it was overlooked before.

When I saw your user name I had to check to see if you might be the scientist whose work I had encountered as an undergrad in 1982 when trying to understand Compiler Construction for Digital Computers. Although your book was ten years old at the time, the volume of CS research and book publishing 40 years ago was very small compared to today, and your work was of great interest to me.

Thanks for the note. I am now officially retired, at age 83. But I took it upon myself to update List of programming language researchers. Take a look.
