1939 Situation[edit]

Holger Brandt's comment about "the time when Vienna was a happy city" also features in the 1936 Swedish film. At least in the original script, it can not have been a reference to the the 1938 de facto annexation of Austria by Nazi Germany, the "Anschluss". This paragraph should be rewritten or deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.43.224.78 (talk) 12:05, 30 August 2010 (UTC) He is may be reffering to a time in 19th century when Vienna was a European center of classical music performance.[reply]

Music works in this film[edit]

I would like help in identifying this piece, [1] on 5 min 11 sec segment. It is a familiar piece, I've heart it somewhere. I would like to compile all the pieces played in this film and enter in a new section of this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tigerjojo98 (talkcontribs) 14:34, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Toscha Seidel playing the violin?[edit]

Seidel is not mentioned in this article and neither on IMDB. But "Intermezzo: A Love Story 1939 Toscha Seidel Violin" on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-Rm56JirdQ says Seidel played the violin, even though it looks like Leslie Howard was playing (actually more than amazing pretend violin playing). The credits at the end are short and don't list the performer. I don't know how to research this better. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A05:4F46:A7:E200:ECAB:AD78:F649:19BC (talk) 18:10, 20 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
