Does anyone know if there are any plans for Inukami to be released in the UK or US?

It's still being subbed, so it's not licenced yet. In any case, it is still quite early in its run. These things usually don't get licenced until the series is complete (or at least a season is done for longer series).--SeizureDog 02:52, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not saying it's going to be dubbed or anything, but I managed to get FUNimation to notice it. I sent them an E-Mail about and it was directed to a licensing superviser who works there. And I sent it after the subs were done, so I hope they end up Dubbing it. I tried ADV first because they are better with Anime for older audiences, but I could never get them. So I tried FUNimation, I'll tell you if it ever works out or not. Renaika56 (talk) 20:33, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If FUNimation does get it, lets hope they don't censor everything... Quite a lot of the scenes and themes are quite... well questionable... but hilarious :P Highwind888 (talk) 02:17, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think they'd censor it, at least not a lot of things, maybe some of the content'll be changed so people outside Japan will know what the Hell it all means. XD But, they would probably put it on just a DVD, and I don't think they'd censor that much on it. I told them it was perverted, when I sent the e-mail, just got a reply saying that it was passed on. I sent it to FUNi mainly because I just wanted to get the Anime out there, you know? That way it'll be out on the table and everything! That and they showed the first 5 episodes at TXs AnimeFEST last year, so it got some show, but you know, I'm just trying to help it along. Oh, as it says below me, the manga has been licenced, so perhaps we should think about putting something up about it? Renaika56 (talk) 21:48, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
"Inukami!" the Manga has been licenced by Seven Seas and Tor. Info Renaika56 (talk) 15:08, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia

[edit]

I should have posted this first, but I deleted the Trivia section due to the fact that there is not enough information to keep the section alive. I hope this didn't cause a problem. Please feel free to re-add it if you feel that it shouldn't have been deleted. Sasuke-kun27 01:47, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Movie

[edit]

Anyone Have a quick summary of it? I'm not logged in...and i don't plan on logging in for this...but someone answer the question

To tell you the truth it really isn't a "movie" at all its like 25 minutes long, and the entire plot revolves around karinashiro's death. Meanwhile, Karou's alive without much of an explanation as to how or where they found him, and all the inukami and their masters, save for karou, have a party, get drunk, and get naked in keita's rebuilt house. Why won't they just make a second season?

I think it's before Karou dies actually. I have it, and posted it on Veoh.com, fully subbed. And it seemed like a filler-type thing to me. But, yeah, a second season would be better.

awkward

[edit]

"Kaoru Kawahira has a pack of ten Inukami, to wit:"

even if it's "it" instead of "Wit" the phrasing is still awkward.--Hitsuji Kinno 18:37, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think just remove the "to wit" part. It sounds weird and has really no point being there, especially for an informative article Highwind888 (talk) 04:11, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Userboxes?

[edit]

Any user boxes for "Inukami!"? I'd like to see some more than the one I made, which is this one:

WAN WAN!This user is an Inukami! fan.

Pretty bad, huh? Well, I'd like to see some better ones, but I gess I'm the start.

I know this is old but I love this idea =) - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 21:44, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The spelling of Yoko's name

[edit]

It is infact spelled Youko according to the Japanese lettering. This is translated using the most common form of Romaji. (Hepburn)

Yes, and Wikipedia has employed the system of revised Hepburn when romanizing Japanese names or words. In this system, long o or u sounds (which can be either oo (おお), uu (うう), or ou (おう)) are rendered as ō (for oo/ou) or ū (uu), hence the reason why in the Nihongo template her name appears as Yoko (ようこ, Yōko), since the accepted English spelling is Yoko, and the pronunciation of the Japanese hiragana is given to the right, and is consistent with revised Hepburn as explained above. The Nihongo template is used so that we don't have to add any more needless description, like you tried to insert, and the template has a handy link in it at the end which directs the user to a help page on rendering Japanese text.-- 22:34, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(correction) actually it's spelled Youko. The Hiragana used for her name is for Youko, the Hiragana for Yoko is different though the Kanji for the pair is exactly the same. Youko is also the propper pronounciation you-ko(yoh-koh).

Yoko is よこ
Youko is ようこ

Hong Feng Entertainment

[edit]

I've just received four boxed sets distrubted by Hong Feng Entertainment, all of which have clearly been bootlegged. Broken menus, all in the same packaging with different artwork (boxes meant for four disks, even if it only contained one), one even still has Frostii (a popular fansubbing group) attached to the OP, Google only returns this page besides pages saying their label is on a box. I'm going to remove them as the licensed seller, as I believe someone bought a bootlegged boxed set and used that as reference to list them here. The information for Hong Feng Entertainment from the back of these boxes is listed below (feel free to reformat it).
No. 21, Jalan Perdana 6/8, Pandan Perdana, 55300 Kuala Lumpur.

I do not feel it is bootlegged as I received a boxed set that works 100% and has the governmental seal on it. [1]—Preceding unsigned comment added by Knowledgekid87 (talkcontribs) 23:02, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
All of my copies had the same seal of originality and a seal from the censorship committee, but each and every set had signs of being bootlegged. (Almost) all were fully functional, yes, but they had quality problems and obvious tells (listed above) toward being bootlegged copies. There is also no evidence of Hong Feng aquiring the license for the anime outside of the previous version of the Inukami! wiki page; generally an Anime news service will report it, at least.OOZ662 (talk) 21:31, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I dont know I found this: [2] and a whole bunch of movies by said company. I am sure the company is not notable but sources might exist in Malay. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 23:37, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
As it relates to this article, at least, there is no evidence of them acquiring the license for Inukami!. Whether you believe they're bootleggers or not is up to you. OOZ662 (talk) 05:27, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Genre: Erotic

[edit]

Can citing the manga be counted as a source? Volume 5 pages #61 - 66. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 14:58, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think a reliable source from a review is what is needed. Farix has been going around removing Category:Ecchi anime and manga from articles that don't have references to back it up, so I assume hentai/erotic would work the same way.-- 21:37, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
