Please use English[edit]

The article begins as follows:

"In mathematics, an invertible sheaf is a coherent sheaf S on a ringed space X, for which there is an inverse T with respect to tensor product of O_X-modules."

Needless to say, there is nothing wrong with using mathematical notation.

But it is a terrible idea to use mathematical notation in an encyclopedia article without explaining what it means first.

If an article is going to use the notation "O_X", then it is very important to state in English what this notation means.

I hope someone knowledgeable about this subject will do that.

I have tried to improve the article. I'm not sure that my changes address your concerns, but I do think they are an improvement. Ozob (talk) 16:44, 9 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
