Burlington AEC Plant

[edit]

Although the page Burlington AEC Plant links to this page, as the facility was co-located with the Army Ammunition Plant, there's no reference in the document to the AEC component. Various references indicate this was the original and primary assembly location for US nuclear weapons between 1947 (start of AEC operations) and 1951 and continued through 1975 when the Pantex facility in Texas took over. The AEC portion was variously referenced as Line 1, Division B or the BAECP.
