In defense of Dino

I'm responding to some of Oleg's editorial comments. I'm not an algebraist, or I'd try to flesh this out right now. Anyway, the name "irrational rotation" appears to be widely used in math papers, with almost half a million hits on Google. Reading the definition it seems these irrational rotations must tie in with the roots of unity and cyclotomic fields, somehow. The reason the external links are "hard to read" is probably because the algebraists among us just love to cook up new terms ... in two minutes worth of Google searching I've already run across "hopfish algebras", whatever in the hell those are.  ;^> DavidCBryant 12:57, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
