Irreligion and atheism in FranceIrreligion in France — Atheism is included in irreligion, like agnosticism. See Irreligion in the United States, Irreligion in Australia...--Whileshiips (talk) 13:07, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article even refers to an "atheistic religion" at one point. I'd prefer to keep "atheism" in the title, as that's what the article mainly talks about.--Kotniski (talk) 09:01, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
And that claim is cant; Robespierre supported the Cult of Reason, with its patron goddess, in order to defeat the atheists under Hebert. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 17:31, 27 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The article has it right: the Cult of Reason was Hebert's atheistic group; the Cult of the Supreme Being was Robespierre's rival Deistic group. Both were anti-clerical political groups thinly disguised as rival religions. Kauffner (talk) 12:40, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Support Makes the title less wordy. A devoutly religious French Buddhist atheist might exist in theory, but not as a practical issue. Shouldn't this article be integrated with anti-clericalism as the French subarticle? Kauffner (talk) 13:47, 27 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Should it be integrated with anti-clericalism? No; Huguenots, Jews, republicans have all been anti-clerical without being irreligious. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 17:27, 27 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Eurobarometer

[edit]

Hello, I'd thought I'd just warn people on here to not revert the edit I made about the Eurobarometer citation because I read through the whole thing, and there was no evidence of France's opinion on God and Life Force. The polls provided with these options was not France and the whole survey was about what religious leaders are doing to impact society, whether it's been positive or negative. That was the main article, not debating on an existence of a life force or deity. In future, please, please be careful when giving out this information as you could always end up with misconceptions and misunderstandings, which would then lead to disagreements. Please read the citation properly first before adding it to the page. I hope everyone understands. Orphaned references in Irreligion in France

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Irreligion in France's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "ec.europa.eu":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 03:03, 28 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Elperrofeliz345678: could you please fill in the correct source for the above ref? -- Fyrael (talk) 21:46, 28 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
