Cost of rescue[edit]

The rescue of Abby Sunderland has prompted many articles which cite the cost of previous rescues in Australia's SAR area, including that of Autissier. Much of this material is inaccurate and cites a grossly inflated figure for her rescue. I've added more accurate details about her rescue, but as the article currently stands any more material on the topic would overwhelm the article. As this occurred 15 years ago and some of the more accurate information is not now easily accessed, I've added some sources below in case this article is expanded in the future:
