Sounds a little like an advertising feature for Steam Packet. Any reviews anywhere of whether the service provided actually meets the needs of the islanders, or whether any backhanders have been paid to get monopoly access?--Vannin (talk) 03:10, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you have any referenced information which is not libellous, then feel free to insert it in the article (WP:BE BOLD). If you don't then this innuendo comes close to being defamatory. Dabbler (talk) 11:46, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Protect article

[edit]

I've been noticing a user keeps adding information about the company which isn't real and I've had to change it three times, is there any chance we could protect the article please because it's getting ridiculous now. Cheers, JamesSteamPacket (talk) 08:49, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong Information

[edit]

I agree with JamesSteamPacket, I've have to edit a lot of information too, because someone keeps adding wrong information, such as Lady of Mann, SeaCat Rapide, and Mona's Queen being in the current fleet, and the Liverpool-Dublin route is still in operation. And yes, it is getting ridiculous now. RyanM96

The User

[edit]

I know who keeps re-editing the article. The user is anonymous but the IP address is 86.14.186.190. RyanM96

I entirely agree. The "re-edits" by 86.14.186.190 are very unhelpful. Elsecar (talk) 10:11, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've also just had to undo his gibberish again for the second time. getting to be a real PITA. How do we get him blocked / banned? I see it originates from a VirginMedia account - is he breaking their TOS?Olddemdike (talk) 18:40, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with Olddemdike. I think this article needs protection, as I've just had to undo the gibberish again today and it's getting extremely frustrating. JamesSteamPacket (talk) 08:47, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've created a talk page for his IP address and left a friendly message. Sort of. Olddemdike (talk) 20:41, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ellan Vannin

[edit]

Any reason why the Ellan Vannin disaster is not mentioned in the article, should really be listed under incidents at least? MilborneOne (talk) 19:32, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Past ships

[edit]

Would it be a good idea to move the lists of the company's historic ships to a separate article? JamesSteamPacket (talk) 16:51, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. It isn't even a complete list of those that served in Operation Dynamo during WWII. Let alone a complete list of ships commissioned by the company and those taken up for use from other trade. RI Carling (talk) 11:03, 16 April 2015

Hi there - thanks for your contribution. Just a quick one - could you please sign your messages with four tildes (~) - it's just confused me with my old username being used to sign your comment. Best wishes! - Coradia175 (talk) 13:51, 16 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
