Interesting side note: some stores in Israel (most particularly multinationals such as SuperPharm) sell items at prices of x shekalim 99 agorot, like stores in the USA do. However, since there is no one-agora piece, this is a sheer marketing gimmick, even more so than in the USA. ralian 19:39, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not entirely, because if you pay with a credit card or a cheque, then the sum is not rounded. Furthermore, if you buy several items, the rounding is done for the whole sum and not for each item. DrorK 08:25, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
