Can Teachings/Preaches Be Included?[edit]

I've noticed some videos from members of the school whether it be students or official employees I will have to research. But can these be included as a section on what values this school tries to teach? -- (Mrja84 (talk) 17:32, 28 March 2012 (UTC))[reply]

Blocked?[edit]

I am trying to understand why the page was blocked? I read the disclaimer and what I gathered was the user name was wrong. Should I have opened the wikipedia account with another name? If so, the information that I posted on the site previously still stands true. Lastly, we do not have a problem with any one posting any additional information about ISUPK however we would like the information to be facts. The article was wrong and will be corrected.

How can the "user name" issue be resolved?

The change in username does not change the fact that you, as an editor, have a conflict of interest regarding the article. Please see the section below where I note that the information presented currently is verified against the referenced source - i.e., it is "facts". However, there is additional information that should be added to the article. Given your COI, expect your edits to be given additional scrutiny, especially deletions of sourced negative material or additions of unsourced positive material. —C.Fred (talk) 16:47, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speaking with mop in hand, there are some issues with this article.

The current version of the article gives undue weight to the negative press that ISUPK has received. I completely understand what the editor in question did: all of the independent sources about the organization, and its notability, focused on criticisms and the noise complaints. That said, I have verified the sources, and the criticisms are legitimate.

The article should give a summary of the organization, its goals, and its major programs. The article should not be a word-for-word copy of the ISUPK website; a solid prose summary, about 2-3 times as long as the current text, should do properly. So long as we are discussing the organization and its aims, the ISUPK website - a primary source - should suffice. If any awards, etc., are mentioned, then those should be traced to independent sources (or the awarding agencies).

The key is to meld the content together. The "black supremacist" labeling should, IMO, remain in the introduction. The noise complaints and other negative issues should, IMO, be relegated to a "Criticisms" section at the bottom of the article. However, neither can the article be purged of the negative items, nor can it exclude any description of the organization just because it's sourced from the ISUPK website. The items need to be merged together.

Location[edit]

The location at which this organization preaches is actually 7th Street and H Street, Northwest, Washington, DC, not 8th street as currently appears in the article. I didn't change it in the article as I am not a real Wikipedia type, just thought I'd bring it to your collective attention. 8th street would actually be more convenient for me, since as it is I have to walk past them on the way home and they often have unkind things to say to me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.108.38.21 (talk) 22:09, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
