No documentation exists to support claims of sales or popularity rankings for recordings of this era. No record company ledgers have been found to support claims of sales, and Billboard magazine didn't start publishing popularity charts until the late forties. Many such claims come from a book by Joel Whitburn titled Pop Memories 1890 - 1954. This book is considered to be a joke by most scholars of the history of recording. I don't feel comfortable going through Wikipedia and deleting such claims where I think they're inappropriate - should it be up to a single person to do something like that?

¶ I added a reference to a 1930 (pre-Oswald Rabbit) theatrical animated cartoon called "Noah Knew His Ark" (7 min., b&w) that concluded with this song. This cartoon was ubiquitous on early kiddie TV, in the 1950s.Sussmanbern (talk) 14:29, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The song was sung by sheffield united fans during there win over cardiff in the 1925 fa cup final — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.64.136.17 (talk) 17:37, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
