The cited Democracy Now! article says "his home was shelled twice by Israeli tanks". The BBC News article says "The army said troops had fired shells at suspicious figures in Dr Izzeldeen Abuelaish's house, believing they were observers directing sniper fire," and refers to "The shelling of his house", which seems to fit the tank explanation, although it also refers to the incident as "the bombing". The Daughters for Life website says "In January 2009, an Israeli tank shelled the home of Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish in the Gaza Strip and killed three of his daughters: Bessan, 21; Mayar, 15; and Aya, 13." The Times of Israel article refers to "tank fire". The Express Tribune article refers to "an Israeli airstrike", but my theory is that the Tribune article simply got it wrong. — BarrelProof (talk) 16:12, 11 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Death of daughters[edit]

This article has almost nothing about the deaths of his daughters, which is the main reason for his notability. Were they killed in a legitimate accident, or (as Amira Haas said) was his house deliberately targeted? How did the Israeli government respond? If "the events surrounding the death of his daughters killed in the Israeli airstrike" left the Pakistani audience in tears, don't you think we should include those events in this entry? --Nbauman (talk) 15:10, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
