Plural

Thor's gauntlets/gloves are indeed plural. Járngreipr is a feminine plural word: see here (there is a second use of the term for "iron hooks" noted in the Supplement to the same dictionary); and the alternate name járnglófi only occurs in the plural, as járnglófar: see here.
