Please Help With Updates To My Page

[edit]

Dear Editing Team,

Someone or a team of people have recently provided extensive updates to my page. I sincerely appreciate this. Sadly, in spite of your efforts, the page is yet incomplete. I understand that neither I (John Hertzler) nor my more computer-savvy designee are permitted to write extensive edits. I understand the need to control content. This being said, I am asking that the following additions be made to my page.

Books I’ve written:

Left Hand of Destiny – Book 1 and Book 2 -Both co-authored with Jeffrey Lang -Simon and Schuster publishing

Books I’ve narrated:

Barsk: The Elephants' Graveyard

For citation - http://www.audible.com/search/ref=a_mn_mt_ano_tseft__galileo?advsearchKeywords=barsk+the+elephants+graveyard&sprefixRefmarker=nb_sb_ss_i_1_5&sprefix=barsk

Most recently, I’ve begun writing screenplays.

The one I wish to have added to my page is:

Dancing with Sancho Panza” – “Original Screenplay written by John G. Hertzler” is how my credit will appear in the front/opening titles of the film.

My on screen writing credits will appear as John G. Hertzler. My acting credits appear as J.G. Hertzler

The feature length motion picture is currently in pre-production. Luis Mandoki (Message In A Bottle) is directing film. The project Executive Producers have just announced the anticipated release date of November 2017. For citation: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0381117/#writer

Thank you in advance, JGH --JGHSMC (talk) 00:14, 20 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stop correcting/undoing MY changes to MY biographical information

[edit]

Listen, this is JOHN HERTZLER. I spent time I really dont have to add critical information to MY page. I happen to know what's important, accurate and relevant about MYSELF. Please revert the work I put into MY BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION. Also, I asked VERY NICELY to have additional information added. Folks, this is beyond ridiculous. Please. PUT MY CHANGES BACK ONLINE. --JGHSMC (talk) 05:21, 20 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

With all due respect, then you want to write a web page about yourself at some other website. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and all articles here are subject to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. That includes project guidelines about what roles to show in credits for video game articles, as well as bigger policies like WP:Conflict of interest, WP:Reliable sources, and WP:Ownership of content. —C.Fred (talk) 18:16, 20 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

PLEASE DO NOT "UNDO" THE ADDITIONS I MADE TO MY PAGE

[edit]

Dear Wikipedi-it's,

This is John Hertzler. I have added new information to MY page. The information is neutral, and does not "pad" nor represent myself in an "inflated" POV. I have added my mother's career information, as someone had added my father's. By neglecting to include my mother's information, the inference was that I disliked or was estranged from my mother. Please do not delete the information I added about my mother. Citation? Well, if being her son isn't enough, how about her tax records showing her employer as being a high school. Would that suffice?

I've also added my writing accomplishments, chiefly, my screenplay which is currently in pre-production under the direction of Luis Mendoki. I have included the IMDB cite, however, if that is insufficient, I can have my agent/attorney submit to you fine folks, my option/purchase contract. This will prove the information I have added regarding "Dancing with Sancho Panza". I have also added MAJOR video gaming credits which had been glaringly omitted.

Should you wish to confirm that I AM IN FACT John Hertzler, please visit my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/john.g.hertzler Leave a public or private message, and I will be happy to call your designee and discuss these apparent grievances. Respectfully, I must insist that I be permitted to vet and edit my page to ensure information regarding myself is complete and accurate. jgh --JGHSMC (talk) 15:25, 20 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Per the above, I'm tagging the article with the {{COI}} tag to bring more editors in to review the article. —C.Fred (talk) 18:09, 20 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Help with date of birth

[edit]

The birth year of 1949 is wrong. The site source of Behind The Voice Actors is a fan/enthusiast run forum and they collect information regarding actors from various sites such as Wikipedia. The problem is that now Wikipedia is providing inaccurate information. Other sites may now use Wikipedia's incorrect date, and the error continues to circulate. IMDb has the date correct, most likely--HRoseLLC (talk) 11:10, 22 June 2016 (UTC) because actors are able to control their personal information. Mr. Hertzler was born in 1950. I simply know this because I saw an interview in which he joked about many online sites listing his DOB as 1949 and he doesn't know how it started. How can this be corrected? Thanks.[reply]

Behind The Voice Actors should only be used for the check-marked voice roles that lead to screen captures of closing credits. Unchecked roles, side-by-sides, and other information such as DOB, place of birth are not verified. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:19, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I used the website The Circuit [1] which has his birthdate and a USA Today article that would confirm 1950. Since Hertzler is watching over the article, he can personally confirm this information? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:30, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for correcting my year of birth to 1950. If I'm understanding the previous comment, indeed, I can personally confirm my year of birth. I can provide information to confirm my voice credits, film credits, whatever confirmations are needed. Let me know how to provide this personal confirmation and I will. Yes, I am monitoring this article as it is about me and accuracy is important. The Chrysler PT Cruiser commercial, I agree, is random trivia. The mention seems out of place and self-serving. I do not know who added this, nor do I have any objection to it being deleted. I really am not trying to be contentious. --JGHSMC (talk) 15:30, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please Add Information - I have COI and cannot update this page

[edit]

JG Hertzler here... I've noticed that the reference about my mom being a high school French and Latin teacher has been deleted. Since my mom was very important to me, can the reference to my mother be reinstated. I am only able to tell you about her career anecdotally as her son. However, here is a quote from me documented in the following link. It only references that she taught Latin, so I guess that is all that can be represented, and I understand.

“J.G. originally auditioned for a part in the "Star Trek: Klingon" CD-ROM game, which was also directed by Jonanthan Frakes. In the audition, he had no idea what the character was supposed to be saying, so he decided to recite some Latin, because his mother was a Latin teacher. And, as it turned out, Frakes loves Latin. "It was pretty bizarre," he said. "A lot of it is luck. It's persistence, but it's also luck." In the end, Frakes said that "there isn't a part for you in this CD-ROM, but we'll make you one." So, as J.G. said, they gave him a part as an old crusty Klingon, with almost no lines, and he just spent his time upstaging the other actors.”

http://www.trektoday.com/articles/weekend_at_holodiction_2.shtml

Also, you have included that I was arrested Monday, June 6 with my frienf and fellow actor, Jamie Cromwell. I gave my iphone to one of the other protesters so he could take a picture of Jamie and I holding our citations telling us when and where to appear for charge of disorderly conduct. I've uploaded the picture hoping you will put it in the Political/Activism section of my article. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:HERTZLER_CROMWELL_ARRESTED.jpg https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:HERTZLER_CROMWELL_ARRESTED.jpg

Best...jgh --JGHSMC (talk) 23:59, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for providing the trektoday article. That should help put it back, at least the Latin part. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 00:15, 23 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for added the info about my mom. Also, I wasn't clear about that photo description. It was just AFTER the protest. We were arrested, and taken to the police station /county complex for "booking". This photo was taken just after we were released from "custody"... a couple hours after being "escorted" in police vehicles away from where we were blocking the trucks. I'm just clarifying in case the description needs to be clarified. Thanks again, --JGHSMC (talk) 16:20, 23 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Gaming Credits/Missing citations

[edit]

I understand that, although Behind the voice actor, lists my contribution to BIOSHOCK/Dr. Grossman, and Injustice: Gods Among Us (Ares and Deathstroke), there is no check-mark because the end-credits have not been confirmed. I’ve never seen, nor played the game, but I found the end-credits on YouTube. My name is listed as an actor, but neither game pairs actors to characters. I hope this will suffice for your citation needs. I’m actually in Stuttgart, Germany at a Comic Con right now. The “SMC” of user name “JGHSMC” is providing the links/screenshots. We'll work on the Star Trek games yet in question as time permits. As always, thanks.

Star Trek gaming credits

[edit]

We've found end credit sequences for the Star Trek game voice credits. Only Armada II gives character credit.

Also, if the note "first major role" adjacent to my role in the movie "and justice for all..." is why the "citation needed" tag is listed, can the note be deleted? It really isn't important.

What else do we need to provide to move up from the "STUB" rating?

Star Trek: Armada end credits - only actor name is listed, but anyone familiar with Star Trek will recognize that the names of the actors match the game characters….i.e. Patrick Stewart is Picard; JG Hertzler is Martok https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUs_ZEpRzmg&list=PLsiicXB4vfDmTDZlW8Mw3ulyCO8zKLgrC&index=52 (advance to 2:37)

Star Trek: Armada II - This sequel to Armada DOES credit J.G. Hertzler as the voice of Chancellor Martok. I was Martok in Armada as well, but this sequence is more detailed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qBJ1CVZIhc (advance to 20:33)

Star Trek: Elite Force II – only actor name listed, not character https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQOpLDrmJo0&index=26&list=PL03891E8E11B345AB (advance to 25:10)

Setting to Start. Once the biography and filmography get filled out, it can be pushed further. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:37, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for adding the Martok pic. I was going to suggest it, but seemed a bit egotistical. Love it! Thanks... --JGHSMC (talk) 17:28, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@AngusWOOF, J.G. is currently in Stuttgart, GE appearing in a ComicCon. When he returns, I will have him write/provide the biographical info regarding his migration from the East Coast to LA and back again. I will have him provide more of his 1970's & 80's filmography and stage/theatre work. Since neither he, nor I (his publicist/attorney/friend) can add it, should I post it here? Also, the "need citation" for the Al Pacino film, "...and justice for all", what citation is needed? If it's for the "first major role", then will you delete the note? That comment was added due to Pacino's involvement on the project, and the iconic quote from the film. The note really isn't important. If it must be cited, then please delete it? Thanks, the "SMC" half o username JGHSMC. --JGHSMC (talk) 15:19, 25 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm happy to jump in and provide citations for the Star Trek section - I have a copy of the DS9 companion which should cover the majority of the current text although if JG can point us at anything regarding his initial appearance as the Vulcan captain in "Emmissary" that's already in print then that'd be awesome. FYI: I have aligned the birth category with the text so that they agree. It was 1949 births; it is now 1950 births. Thank you and Qapla'.--FeanorStar7 01:13, 25 June 2016 (UTC)01:10, 25 June 2016 (UTC) Thank you, and know you are now an honorary member of the House of Martok. Thank you, Chancellor Martok. I am honored. Also, I made a few more cleanup edits today (including alphabetizing the categories; altho I left the birth category and living people category together at the front of the listing). I hope this is not too much of an imposition. Again, many thanks and also for your wonderful portrayal of the Chancellor--FeanorStar7 16:18, 26 June 2016 (UTC)

MOVE AXANAR FROM THEATRE AND ADD THESE? PLEASE?

[edit]

Team...

The reference to JG joining the cast of Axanar in 2015 seems out of place under the theatre heading, or is it just me? Wouldn't this make more sense up under the Biography heading with JG's other Star Trek references? Also, JG was in a national touir of Dial "M" with Roddy McDowall. Could this please be added under theatre? I've provided a cite below. Thanks.

  • Teaching/workshop…in the event this is relevant
  • JG as Lord Capulet in Romeo & Juliet

Thanks, smc --JGHSMC (talk) 23:55, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If there's another way to organize the biography subsections, that would be fine. I could also do away with all the subsection headers besides the political career. The performances section appears to be too localized for it to have its own major filmography section. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:38, 28 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No Personal Life Section, Please

[edit]

John is fiercely protective of his private life. Please respect that there is to be no mention of his immediate family, child, personal relationships etc.... Hobbies are fine....however, his personal family life is strictly off limit. Thank you for respecting privacy requests. JGH & SMC --JGHSMC (talk) 21:55, 28 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Much appreciated. Thank you.--JGHSMC (talk) 22:51, 28 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please note WP:BLPPRIVACY which should help some of this, however, some information may still be fair game if it is publicized in the reliable news sources. For example, the articles [2] [3] publicize that Hertzler has a daughter so that can be listed in the infobox, but of course the names are excluded. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:36, 29 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

image of character Martok

[edit]

File:Martok.jpg only has a non-free use rationale for use at the article Martok; IAW WP:NFCC#10c, it shouldn't be used in this article. Secondly, unless there's reliably-sourced critical commentary in the article about Mr. Hertzler's physical appearance as this character (and there is none in the article right now), using the image here would also fail WP:NFCC#8. — fourthords | =Λ= | 01:07, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

NFCC#10c says it COULD be used here as long as there's an acceptable non-free rationale entry that applies to Hertzler? As for NFCC#8 that's a matter of whether someone's going to look up the commentary. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 05:52, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
There's actually a free use one avaliable on commons. It just needs to have Robert O'Reilly cropped out (or not, if deemed unneccessary). It's a little bright as it's outdoors, but the makeup/uniform appears exactly the same as it was on DS9. Miyagawa (talk) 12:24, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You can post that one then. The only ones I saw on commons for the Czech voice actor for Martok. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:22, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Can you point me to that file? I can't find it on Wikimedia Commons. — fourthords | =Λ= | 15:39, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I've just swapped out the fair use image with the free use image I mentioned on the article. Miyagawa (talk) 17:28, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like the image was removed from this article because it was deleted from the Wikimedia Commons on 29 June (https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:JGH_CU_Color.png&action=edit&redlink=1) because it was missing its source (IAW Commons:COM:SOURCE). — fourthords | =Λ= | 16:07, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

American University CORRECTION - Important, Please Revise?

[edit]

Team,

John went to AMERICAN UNIVERSITY for only one year. He was enrolled in the American University School of Law, but dropped out after one year to pursue acting. Will you remove/edit this in the person info box? Also, there is a biography reference to law school that needs revision/clarification. John noticed this and feels it's misleading to leave the information "as is". Thanks. --JGHSMC (talk) 23:57, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The infobox lists all three schools in alma_mater so it doesn't matter whether Hertzler got a degree there or enrolled for a term. However, if you want to note his degrees, we can move those where he graduated to the education section in the infobox. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 00:36, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Autobiographical Information Written by John Hertzler For His Biography Section

[edit]

I asked John to write out answers to the information listed as "need to expand upon" in the box under Biography. I've tried to find citations, but unsuccessful for most of the information. We hope this helps? Please let us know what other information we can provide to "flesh out this article and increase the ranking.

BUT BEFORE THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY, A FEW OTHER ITEMS:

  • can we have the COI tag/warning removed? we no longer "contribute" on this article, and what we had posted has been 95% removed/replaced.
  • The reference to JG joining the cast of Axanar in 2015 seems out of place under the theatre heading, or is it just me? Wouldn't this make more sense up under the Biography heading with JG's other Star Trek references?

Filmography 1970’s – 1980’s (TV/film)

During the 1970's I appeared in one episode of the TV Show..."MOVIN' ON" about truckers. Claude Aikins and a handsome blond fella (Frank Converse) that didn't do much after that show. It ran for a two or three years. (This appeared in a table under “filmography”. It was removed at my request as it seems to have been an “uncredited” role prior to JG having his SAG membership. Perhaps it can remain as part of his autobiographical section?). I did a series called "Maryland..." for MARYLAND PUBLIC BROADCASTING out of OWINGS MILLS, MD. I was the host who did 16 episodes of a series to introduce the history and majesty of the State of Maryland ranging from walking around Little Italy with the honorary mayor and former Mayor of Baltimore...Tommy Dellassandro, whom I believe was the father or grandfather of Nancy Pelosi whose maiden name was Dellassandro.....ranging from that to playing guitar with Olla Belle Reed of Sunrise Maryland who was a folk singer and story teller of some repute....Also did a series for ITV Television out of Arlington Va...(I think) a series called "ADVENTURE OF THE MIND" which was another Public TV series about introducing people to PERSONAL COMPUTING!!!! Fascinating! (I have searched online for references/citations for any of these shows/series. I am unable to find any PBS or episodic reference material covering anything prior to 1983. John was in his early 20s during this time. He had just graduated Bucknell and only beginning his theatre/acting career. Many of the programs he was involved with haven’t existed for decades. I don’t know how to cite these.)

THEATRE:

Worked at the FOLGER SHAKESPEARE THEATRE in Washington DC, got my UNION CARD there in 1977 doing A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM. 1979...moved a show called "PRACTICE" I directed.... from the NEW PLAYWIGHTS THEATRE OF WASHINGTON located on CHURCH STREET in NW Washington, to the PERRY STREET THEATRE in NYC...got great reviews in the Daily News, Evening Star (DC) and the WASHINGTON POST...but mediocre review from Walter Kerr so it went no where. Ten young men on roller skates on stage practicing roller hockey in 1950 Jackson Heights in Queens. Rite of passage play..on Skates. -Why JG moved from New York/East Coast to California Got cast in 1980 at the CIRCLE IN THE SQUARE in NYC, Midtown... a regional contract on Broadway...in THE BACCHAE with Irene Pappas and Phil Boscoe directed by Michael Coccyannis...(Direcctor of Zorba the Greek film) mixed reviews (I GOT A HORRENDOUS REVIEW FROM the infamous JOHN SIMON of the NEW YORKER which I have never read!)...but nevertheless , got a call from William Ball , founder and artistic director of American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco...asking me to move from Brooklyn to Nob Hill and play leading roles in the 1981 season of ACT...Richard 2, the Admirable Crichton, etc. I moved to San Francisco and never returned to the East Coast until 2006. In 1988 I moved to Los Angeles, began working in episodics. Got cast as a regular in "ZORRO" opposite Duncan Regehr, shooting in Madrid Spain from 1990-and 1991. Spent two summers in Spain shooting about 40 episodes (unsure of the number) Shown on the FAMILY CHANNEL. Fell in love with Spain as i walked the streets of Madrid, learned about the Spanish Civil War and that’s what inspired me to write "DANCING WITH SANCHO PANZA". Came back to LA, got cast on GENERAL HOSPITAL as General Stark...who took over the hospital in a military coup to depose El PResidente who was being treated there. Played mostly opposite Finola Hughes; then got a job on Star Trek CD ROM directed by Jonathan Frakes, which led to the audition for DS9's General Martok...which I got...(winning the role over my best friend in LA at the time. Meanwhile Ron Canada went on to star in many films and episodics including STAR TREK!) http://www.popmythology.com/j-g-hertzler-star-trek-axanar-interview/ (this link references JG’s winning the Martok/Trek role over his best friend Ron Canada) http://www.startrek.com/article/general-martok-from-ds9-j-g-hertzler - Go to the section “How did Martok come along?” this interview provides quite detailed information about how John got involved with Trek. It doesn’t discuss his initial appearance resulting from his work with Jonathon Frakes, but it talks about his primary role of Martok.

Moving Back to New York from LA/California

Left LA to do CLarence Darrow role (Henry Dummond) in GEVA THEATRE production of INHERIT THE WIND...the best role of my career. Got offered the role again at CORNELL the following year, directed by Beth Milles who is now at BROWN and the LONG WHARF THEATRE...she is a wonderful director...while doing the show, interviewed for Adjunct Professor job at CORNELL in Theatre Department...got the job and moved to ITHACA. Stayed at Cornell for four years until the university was overhauled in 2009 and the DEPT OF THEATRE FILM and DANCE was dissolved and my adjunct position eliminated. Stayed in Ithaca area to write and direct at Ithaca Shakespeare Festival, New Mercury Theatre of NY, the HANGAR THEATRE ETC...

Please let us know what else we can provide? Thanks ever so much... smc and jgh --JGHSMC (talk) 19:32, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure how much I can put in for the 1970s and 1980s. The wikipedia writeup on this talk page can't be used as the reference. If Movin' On was mentioned in some given interview as an uncredited debut role, then maybe. But perhaps the paragraph can be reworded that Hertzler was transitioning to acting and performed on theatre and television local to Maryland. Folger is mentioned in some of the publicized bios. Just to note that some of the theater reviews in the 1980s as well as Dial M in the 1995-96 have been included in the article, mainly to show that he was doing theatre for most of the 1980s, and because they are newspaper and magazine reviews they will be critical of his work. HELP WITH THIS, PLEASE?

[edit]
  • can we have the COI tag/warning removed? we no longer "contribute" on this article, and what we had posted has been 95% removed/replaced.
  • The reference to JG joining the cast of Axanar in 2015 seems out of place under the theatre heading, or is it just me? Wouldn't this make more sense up under the Biography heading with JG's other Star Trek references?
  • JG was in a national touir of Dial "M" with Roddy McDowall. Could this please be added under theatre? I've provided a cite below. Thanks.

No problem - sorry I didn't get to the Star Trek stuff sooner, I got bogged down rewriting "The City on the Edge of Forever" over the last week. Miyagawa (talk) 10:10, 17 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

IT'S VERY OUT OF PLACE IN THIS SECTION AS IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH LIVE THEATER OR NEW YORK. THANK YOU.

Partly done moved Axanar to acting section. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:31, 16 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I've moved the rest of these links under refideas on this page. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:35, 16 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Done these are now in the article. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:50, 16 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest adding links to the Refideas section at the top of the talk page. Then I can write up information into the article's biography without it being in Hertzler's words, unless it's quoted from the articles there, of course. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:10, 16 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What a great suggestion! I'll look for links, and ask John to see if he can recall interviews, news stories, etc... Will YouTube interviews work? Also, thank you for moving he Axanar reference, and adding the Dial M. We sincerely appreciate it!! I'll see if I can figure out how to add links, but I need help with that. That's something I'm able to do without breaking any rules? --JGHSMC (talk) 22:48, 16 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's okay to append them to refideas. It's not disrupting the article itself. The editors can then remove them when they have been used or reviewed. Youtube interviews may be okay but it should come from good sources. Watch out for any copyright violations. Also keep in mind, interviews are mostly primary sources on Wikipedia, and it's better if there are more secondary source news articles such as from mainstream newspapers and magazines. Granted some of the stories such as the audition are notable, but if the article is full of those it will make it too much primary sourcing. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 23:36, 16 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Too Much to Append to Refideas - Can This Please Be Added?

[edit]

I was going to try and put all that follows to refideas, but there’s too much explaining. Also, John’s mom’s obituary (http://portroyal200.com/view.php?id=1155 – Eleanor Frances (Beaver) Hertzler) gives a lot of information about her career that can be added to what’s already included.

HERE’S INFO I HOPE CAN BE INCLUDED IN THE ARTICLE:

John’s great uncle was Fred Frankhouse. Frankhouse played for the Brooklyn Dodgers. “In 1936, Fred was traded to the Brooklyn Dodgers where he played for Casey Stengel” (a quote found in Fred Frankhouse link below). Here’s the pertinent family tree info: John Hertzler’s mom was Eleanor Frances (Beaver) Hertzler. Eleanor Hertzler’s mom was Margaret Elizabeth (Frankhouse) Lyter, Margaret’s mom was Jennie M. (Meloy) Frankhouse, Jennie Frankhouse was Fred Frankhouse’s mom. See obituary links below. This is more than just interesting family history. Already referenced in Hertzler’s article, is his screenplay, “Dancing With Sancho Panza” one of the main character’s “Frank Houser”, is based upon his great uncle Fred Frankhouse. In the screenplay now in pre-production, the character “Frank Houser” plays for the Brooklyn Dodgers.

CITATIONS:

Thank you, SMC for JGH --JGHSMC (talk) 02:46, 17 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've added the mother and father's names with the Port Royal 200 citation. The Sancho Plaza film section isn't detailed to the point where it needs to explain how the characters were named or modeled. Perhaps when the film becomes notable enough for its own Wikipedia article, then he can publicize the family connections. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:49, 17 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps it can be added to a Legacy section in Fred Frankhouse's article? Again, it would be better once the film is out and Hertzler can do more interviews to secondary sources to explain where he got his ideas. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:57, 17 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! --JGHSMC (talk) 16:22, 17 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

3DO’s Might & Magic IX

[edit]

I am John Hertzler’s better half. I just noticed the he is credited with voicing an intro for Might & Magic IX. We are bewildered. John says it’s possible that he did, but has no recollection of performing this role. I have reviewed all the credits for this game that I could find online. I would ask that this work be cited/authenticated before allowing it to remain. We are uncomfortable with John being given credit for work he may not have done. JGHSMC (talk) 21:33, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Done Thanks for pointing that out. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:55, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Filmography changes

[edit]

Please do not rowspan the filmography or remove its references. See WP:FILMOGRAPHY. Also do not convert dates of references to YMD. Subject is American, so MDY format is sufficient and is what is used for Auto Ed. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 08:57, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also, do not combine filmography into one table. Subject has enough work to separate, otherwise there are too many useless "Video game" or "Film" in the Notes section. There are also assumptions that haven't been verified such as the episode date for the General Hospital, or whether or not Sancho Plaza finally got released in 2018. General Hospital

[edit]

The 1990 season of General Hospital is very poorly documented. The best pages I've been able to find are on an old Angelfire fan site: [6] and [7]. This seems to indicate that the character of General Stark appeared in 17 episodes between September 7 and October 10, 1990. Unfortunately it doesn't mention Hertzler, and I'm guessing the source here is just one fan watching and summarizing their old VHS tapes. Better than nothing but far from WP:RS.
