External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Jace Hall. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20120309163013/http://m.blogworld.com/speaker/jacehall to http://m.blogworld.com/speaker/jacehall
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

Purposed Changes
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. The request was not specific enough. Please see the reply section below for additional information about this request. |
Hello Wiki,
It has come to my attention that my edits to Jace Hall's Wiki have been reverted due to COI. I was unaware of the rules surrounding this.
While I do know Jace Hall personally, I believe the edits that I had made were all done in a completely unbias and factual manner. The accuracy of this article is significantly lessened by removing the information that I had provided. All information that I had added was sourced. I am requesting that the following edit be reinstated.
Thank you for the consideration — Preceding unsigned comment added by SincerelyFranny (talk • contribs) 19:24, 21 October 2019 (UTC)

Issues
[edit]- Aside from the COI issues, there are several flaws in the requested edit to restore deleted content. I will touch on but a few:
- 1)- Advertisement/ promotion: In the section "Online Content Credited", 1337LoungeLive content is not sourced and was apparently purchased by the subject. Others are not sourced and the link to Warner Bros is simply advertising spam.
- 2)- The "Sources" section has the same issues as #1. Links such as IMDb and Moby Games Database are not considered reliable sources, Twin Galaxies would be a primary source and the YouTube Official Jace Hall Music reference is primary and likely an inappropriate link.
- The article is in dire need of expansion. What we currently have is a pseudo biography, and the sought additions still maintain this adding mainly just career accomplishments through largely inappropriate links and sourcing. What it amounts to is a BLP that could risk being deleted at WP:AFD (notability issues) in spite of 9 current references that includes Wikipedia (circular) and a suggested adding of 50 more references that include links like IMDb.
- While the expansion of the requesting editor might very well be with good intentions there are strict policies and guidelines regarding COI editing, specifically paid, and the requested additions are by a single purpose account that has only acknowledged there is a COI.
- The specific information, location, and sourcing needed before content might be added may seem extreme but the reason is because this is a BLP, the criterion is higher, and an uninvolved editor will likely never blanket add such a large amount of content considering the above circumstances.
