First name of "John"[edit]

I stumbled across this article and noticed that the name in the lede was John, and not Jack, like the title would suggest. On its own, that isn't a big deal, but I was confused and thought this might be vandalism, so I dug a bit deeper into the article history. The name was introduced in an IP edit in June 2015, from an editor claiming to be Cummings' grandson. I haven't found any info that I can verify was before the Wikipedia edit and not taken from Wikipedia that supports the claim, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's wrong, either. Almost all the sources on this page are not linked, and honestly, I don't feel like trying to find and dig through them to see if I can prove or disprove this – I'm just leaving this talk page message, so anyone who might run into the same confusion doesn't have to do the same research I've already done, or someone who might care a decent bit about this article can finish off this research.
