"Non-series" works

Not sure how the distinctions have been made in "Non-series" and "Series" works here. Several of the novels listed in the Non-series section connect to the series labeled with single protagonist. Devlin and Dillon are all a continuity anyway, and several of the "Non-series" novels connect through Brigadier Ferguson and his intelligence service. Excoet, for example, has Ferguson recruit a SAS officer (can't recall his name now) to thwart the Exocet threat during Falklands War. Same officer also persuades Devlin to meet Ferguson, althought there's a Ferguson even in The Eagle Has Landed but it could be a coincidence... --TLein (talk) 07:04, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Concur with your concerns - the breakdown of the novels isn't quite right somehow. Several of the novels include SAS Officer Tony Villiers (the character you're trying to remember above) and a couple have Martin Brosnan, who is almost a younger version of Liam Devlin (literary scholar, former IRA man later disillusioned w/ "the Cause", etc etc)..Seems like Sean Eagan is a name that pops up in at least 2 books (another SAS man, enlisted).Higgins' works are almost too interconnected to track very well...By the way, the Ferguson in "The Eagle Has Landed" has no connection that I'm aware of to the later Brigardier Ferguson. Note that Higgins has a bit of a habit of using minor character's names over and over (Harry,Sean, Billy, Munro, etc etc) in the same way his heroes tend to be small, fit, intellectual men and women (females usually small, wide-eyed with high cheekbones, just a notch or two below beautiful, etc etc etc). Ah well- great author, regardless! Engr105th (talk) 23:15, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

University of Wales, Lampeter (formerly St David's University College, formerly St David's College)

Lampeter often claims Jack Higgins as an alumnus, is there any fact behind this claim?

Missing Harry Patterson books

I have seen "Toll for the Brave", Wrath of the Lion" & "Hell is too Crowded" listed is written by Harry Patterson elsewhere. I have the books and they are by Higgins. They aren't mentioned in this page at all. Why not? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.233.72.86 (talk) 04:53, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

Missing Reference

What does the "*" mean in the Works Section? --37.24.13.153 (talk) 22:11, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
