Unrelated article question

Dear Sir

Searching for the title to an old Jack Kelly made for TV movie. All we have on it is the story line. If anyone reconizeses it or can locate it in the arcives please post it on this website. We have checked a filmography and a biography of the actor but to no avial. Here is the stroy line: Four men board a train in Chicago and ride it to Los Angeles. In their suit cases is a put together printing press. They have adjorning suites and print up money of a foreign contry with the dictators picture on it. They toss the printing press out piece by piece along the way. Upon ariaving in Los Angeles they pick up a newspaper and see that the leader has been assassinated and all the money is declared worthless. They then board the tain back to Chicago. This may have been a ninety minute show for Kraft Theater or Thriller or Suspense type of movie. Have contacted TV Guide but no response from them. Any help you could provide would be most appreciated.

Ironically, there was an episode of "Maverick" in which Kelly's character dealt with a machine that printed counterfeit currency but it's not the plotline that you described here. Wikichump (talk) 10:10, 27 March 2010 (UTC)

This was a 1965 episode of the Kraft Suspense Theater anthology series entitled Four Into Zero. It co-stars Kelly's fellow former Warners contractee Robert Conrad. The episode was an hour long, not ninety minutes, and was filmed in color. You can look it up at the IMDB. They air reruns of Suspense Theater under the title crisis on Retro TV in many markets. Where I live they broadcast it Saturday and Sunday nights at midnight! Better late than never. Nancy Kelly

Response to edits this morning (I copied my response into this Discussion page as a matter of general interest to this article's readers):
You actually don't think the fact that Kelly's sister was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress should be mentioned in an article about him? One of the most interesting and talked-about facets of Kelly's life was the fact that he found himself dropped into competition with a phenomenally popular star at the beginning of what amounted at the time to a national craze (James Garner) eight shows into the series and was roundly overshadowed, and that he'd already spent his life in the shadow of his older sister Nancy, who'd been leading lady in top-drawer movies in the 1930s and was nominated for an Oscar the year before "Maverick" began production. To simply omit any reference to this whatsoever in an article about Kelly seems irresponsible, bordering on vandalism. As for including some detail about "Maverick" in an article about Kelly, it was not only his professional height but the only reason he's noticed at all today, to the paltry extent that he is--if "Maverick" had never been filmed, you'd doubtless be challenging the existence of any article about Kelly on the grounds that he lacks the importance to merit one. Since your message is out of context, I've no idea how it will be of general interest to other readers, but whatever. As I stated on your talk page, I think it would behoove you to open an WP:RfC since you firmly believe this content is paramount to the article and I do not believe it belongs. Since you have yet to provide a reliable source for any of the content, I would also suggest that you find a reliable source to support this content to support its notability and inclusion. You are missing something - they're core policies like WP:V and WP:RS. That means that content needs to be sourced even if it's simply "general knowledge" as you call it. Further, even if something can be sourced that doesn't mean it belongs in the context of encyclopedia. That's what Wikipedia is - an encyclopedia - not a fansite or a place to dump every bit of information about a subject. Articles are to be a jumping off point, not an indiscriminate collection of information that every person thinks is super duper important because they happen to find it interesting. I too find it "mildly interesting" that various folks are commenting on this old issue. First I get called a vandal for *gasp* upholding policy, and then I'm evidently completely clueless about "general knowledge" and how Wikipedia works. Yes, I do find having a close relative who mastered exactly the same field of endeavor on an exponentially grander scale to be diverting to the point of being essential (i.e. Drew Barrymore's grandfather John Barrymore or Shirley MacLaine's brother Warren Beatty or Ted Kennedy's brother John F. Kennedy or Jeb Bush's brother George W. Bush or Lon Chaney, Jr.'s father Lon Chaney, to mention a few examples that spring to mind) and more than merits inclusion in a biographical entry but as you say, interests do vary, after all. I'm a bit of a cinema aficionado and have known all about Nancy Kelly for quite a while and assume others do as well, she made some important films, but maybe "general knowledge" was an exaggeration in most quarters, I don't know. Never meant to become ensnared in any argument regarding Wikipedia, it's like debating what should be momentarily scribbled on a chalkboard that one glances at while breezing by. I guess any information for the uninitiated regarding Jack Kelly's sister Nancy Kelly can be discovered on her own Wikipedia page and it obviously remains more prudent to let it go at that. Wikipedia doesn't allow this to be posted as an external link because it's a "fan site" but the most comprehensive lode of information on Jack Kelly and his career that I've ever seen, where the curator has spent years digging up any information, photo, or clip of Kelly and posting it online, is a site that you can readily Google called "The Tall Dark Stranger There - Jack Kelly." Warning, though, if you're interested in Kelly or the "Maverick" TV series, you'll spend countless hours sifting through this particular site. And you'll be shocked at how much work Kelly actually pumped out in the twilight of his career as it down-spiraled into hosting game shows and commercial voice-overs. Nodios - you're a seemingly new user and I'm going to assume you are unfamiliar with certain policies. I would suggest you read WP:NOTREPOSITORY and WP:FANSITE first. If whatever "this" you're talking about is worthy of inclusion, try posting it and telling the community why "this" should be included. Perhaps others will agree and "this" might be included. I did try to post it in the Links but it was taken down by a bot and I'm not interested in pursuing that further (by "that," I mean posting it in the Links section). Nothing accusatory or vague about my "tones," I just posted my remark in plain English not dreaming that it would confuse, upset, or offend anyone. My "cause" was to let people interested in Kelly know that this resource (the Jack Kelly website) exists so that readers of the Kelly Wikipedia page can enjoy perusing it (the Kelly website) if they wish (to peruse the Kelly website):

Film and TV appearances

Wondering if it would be possible to break up the filmography into separate tables for Films and TV appearances. Right now having them all jumbled together makes it a bit harder to follow. Most of the other bio pages I see for actors do break these up into two separate tables.

Also, some of Kelly's significant roles seem to be left out. I believe he had a recurring role on quite a few episodes of the Hardy Boys/ Nancy Drew Mysteries, a show that may have gone under the radar to adults in the audience but I know as a tween I never missed an episode. Ambiguous assertion

The article states, "When the Kellys were children, their mother would not serve them meat or give medication when they were sick." What does this mean? No meat served at any time, or no meat only when the children were sick? Mrpaulin (talk) 03:10, 25 February 2018 (UTC)
