J. W. Ridley → Jack Ridley (engineer)
Jack Ridley → Jack Ridley (pilot)

– As far as I can see, this person was known as Jack Ridley and not J. W. Ridley. As there is another Jack Ridley, there is a need for disambiguation. I would suggest that this person is much more notable for engineering than politics (please refer to his obituary). Hence the dabs as suggested.
