There is no mention of the Jackson 5 cartoon series that aired on TV prior to the Jacksons Family TV show. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.237.128.98 (talk) 14:49, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Error in who is married to who?

This looks like an error: Jermaine Jackson and Alejandra Oaziaza had six children Randy Jackson and Alejandra Oaziaza had three children

Unless Jermaine married Randy's ex wife?

--Renaissance le Corbeau (talk) 15:48, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Actually, I think he did. Supposedly it caused huge problems in the family for a while. Sky83 (talk) 20:23, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

4TH GENERATION - MARLON'S GRANDCHILDREN

Marlon's son could not have had a child in 1991 - he was 10. This information needs to be corrected.

Joh'Vonnie Jackson question

Shouldn't Joh'Vonnie, the illegitimate daughter of Joe Jackson, and her daughter, Jasmine, be included in the Jackson family page? Fanficgurl (talk) 3:50, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

Semi-protected

I've semi-protected the page for now because there is a seemingly unending supply of anonymous jokers that like to insert their own names into this article. --Andy Walsh (talk) 20:15, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

Not done: Welcome and thanks for wanting to improve this article. The way it works is that you detail a specific change and someone will come along and make the change for you, unless there is a problem with the request. Best, --Discographer (talk) 22:47, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

Hello my friend...I not sure they are at all notable. I have always had a problem adding this info as per Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons#Privacy of names and as per Relationships do not confer notability . If we were to add them we should apply what is set-forth by Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons#Privacy of personal information and using primary sources. But again i dont think they should be add as per links provided. - - Moxy (talk) 04:01, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Hi Moxy, nobody listed here in this fourth generation is notable. This listing is only to remain here on this talk page, it's not to be included in the main article's page. Also, I'm putting this together for some future project that we just may come up with sometime where this may be useful information that can be used. Thanks for asking! Best, --Discographer (talk) 04:16, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Hi guys, I don't know if I'm doing this right, cause it's the first time I do this, but I just wanted to mention to you that Michael's full name is Michael JOE Jackson, and not Michael Joseph Jackson. My very reliable source is his own brother Jermaine who actually mentioned that often-made mistake in his biography 'You are not alone. Michael, through a brother's eyes' (isbn:978-0-00-743568-5, by HarperCollinsPublishers). It's a common mistake, I know, but to be honest: it irritates me!!! haha. I allready changed his name above. I hope this was well enough for an input? regards, -- San MGee (talk) 02:15, 04 January 2013

Layout Suggestion

IMO, it would be better if readers could more easily see which of the people listed in the Third generation section are children of which people in the Second generation section. Maybe we should merge the two sections to Second and third generation and then list the children (indented) under their parents. Agreed? --82.170.113.123 (talk) 10:36, 23 May 2013 (UTC)

Lead

I am not sure if anyone is going to see this anytime soon, but does anyone else think a little more, at the very least a sentence, should be added to the lead about the enormous popularity of Michael? The only mention in the lead is that him and Janet had successful careers. I think at least a line should be added about how Michael became one of the most well known entertainers ever in the lead somewhere.Zdawg1029 (talk) 00:52, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

As this is the summary lead of an article about the family, the two members you mention having their own articles, I feel that the weight given to Michael and Janet is just about right as it is. Britmax (talk) 21:16, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
The only hint in the lead of Michael or Janet's success is the line "the continued success of Michael and Janet's careers as solo artists led the Jacksons to become known as the "Royal Family of Pop". Personally I think there should be some kind of quick mention in the lead of the overwhelming success Michael accomplished, even something as short as "Michael faced overwhelming success as a solo artist".Zdawg1029 (talk) 22:26, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
I don't see why it would need to be mentioned. The first few paragraphs mention Michael Jackson several times — Preceding unsigned comment added by 27.100.18.28 (talk) 03:32, 2 September 2013 (UTC)
If you take away Michael's success, this family would have a very different distinction. His solo career, and to a lesser extent Janet's, is the only reason anyone has paid any attention to this family since the early 80's. Michael's success is like 85% of what this family has accomplished. So I think it is very relevant mentioning in the lead that Michael's success has greatly attributed to this family being considered who they are. But if you don't think it is relevant then fine, leave it out, I mean it's not like he has the best selling album of all time or is considered the most successful artist of all time by the Guinness Book of World Records. So yeah Michael's enormous success has little to do with the popularity of this family I guess. Zdawg1029 (talk) 03:47, 2 September 2013 (UTC)

Third generation

I know we took out the third generation section, but since a few members from it are indeed notable, I have added a small thing about them. If they have a Wiki page I think they are notable enough. The last two, Jackies son and Jermaines son I was thinking twice about however, but the other ones I believe should stay.Zdawg1029 (talk) 01:22, 23 September 2014 (UTC)

Jackson family Tree

I suggest we add a family tree in the article, to let everyone see how large the family is. Besides, some names of the Third Generation aren't mentioned, to to mention that some of them already have children of their own, creating a Fourth Generation. We can't let them be unnoticed just like that. If no one will make one, then I'll do it. DayKey (talk) 08:41, 21 April 2017 (UTC)

The reason many of the third and all of the fourth generation are not mentioned is because they are simply not notable. They can be mentioned on each individuals persons page, but it is unnecessary here, so a family tree would not be necessary. Not to mention it really isn't that hard to figure out the way it is laid out now. Zdawg1029 (talk) 23:56, 21 April 2017 (UTC)

Joh'Vonnie Jackson

Someone edited Joh Vonnies part to not include her name, just the mention that Joe has another daughter through an affair. While I believe if she is going to be brought up at all on this particular page, we can indeed mention her name, I believe more she does not even need to be mentioned on this page. She is mentioned on Joes page, her being brought up on this page is just unnecessary. If you don't agree, explain why.Zdawg1029 (talk) 19:47, 26 October 2018 (UTC)
