Does anyone remember seeing Jackyl WAY back in the late 80s? Myrtle Beach, SC at that place at the edge of the boardwalk....Rockburger?

SC girl

I do but not at Rockburger. It was somewhere in North Myrtle in 1991. July 3rd- I only remember because it was my birthday lol

Interesting Wikitrivia - this article attracted the 100 millionth edit on Wikipedia on 12 January 2007. Unfortunately, it had to be reverted as it was vandalism. But oh well, this band still appears to be setting its own records in 2007 :) Orderinchaos78 05:09, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How is Jackyl NOT Glam Metal?

Umm, because it's not glam metal?? There's nothing glam about them. Do you see any makeup, sequins or tight pants on these guys?

I'm not sure I am familiar with the "redneck rock" category. As the term seems derogative in nature, I propose removing the word "redneck," (unless someone can document what "redneck rock" is - or if the band refers to themselves as such) and leaving the rest. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.171.162.217 (talk) 14:49, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Former Members

[edit]

I can find references for Jimmy Stiff (listed in the band on album covers), pictures of Thomas Bettini on stage with Jackyl in their early days, and promo material advertising Ronnie Honeycut's recent bands that he was the former singer for Jackyl. Never heard of those other three guys, I'll edit the article accordingly if no one comes up with some citations shortly. (No, other Wiki-like sites that directly rip this article's text aren't references.) Desirsar (talk) 03:50, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Only Google result I could find containing "Bennie Waddell" and "Jackyl" that isn't an outright ripoff of the Wiki page was a blog by a person of that name that appeared to be "into" Jackyl at the time, and worded it poorly at best. If you know of an article or interview or anything published off the web with the info, I'd be happy to do up the citation myself. Desirsar (talk) 01:42, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Section Titles

[edit]

Does the article really need to be divided up into twenty or so sections, many of which the title is longer than the content? Desirsar (talk) 10:30, 5 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nigel Dupree Band

[edit]

Split - Nigel Dupree Band has been discussed in several articles linked at User:Jax_0677/Nigel_Dupree_Band, and the band should have their own article. Thoughts? --Jax 0677 (talk) 13:07, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In the works, page is up, work in progress. Great advice! 24.99.49.178 (talk) 03:11, 27 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
