The business about Sprenger being a co-author in name only is supported by some of what is written on the German Wikipedia. It does however need an independent source. (My German isn't really good enough to read the Bautz page link.) Charles Matthews 12:22, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

James SprengerJacob Sprenger – Sprenger wasn't James, he was Jacob. He was german, so you can look up everything about him in German Wiki where the information is reliable; you'll see no mentions that he was ever called James. I pressed all the links in Authority Control section and saw 'James' mainly at last lines of 'also known as' lists, so there is no need to place this rarely used in history name at the top of the page. It will be better to name it 'Jacob Sprenger'. If english wiki for some unknown reason insist on calling him James, i'll better put 'James' in aka-section : Jacob Sprenger (also Jakob, Jacobus, James) Lucifer63 (talk) 11:46, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
