Notability/sourcing issues

[edit]

I was unable to find any significant coverage in secondary sources in my searches online or by following the links provided in the article. However, the article does cite some magazines from the 80s which may comprise enough coverage of the subject to meet GNG. Unfortunately, I am unable to access them. Dragosdutu, could you please provide excerpts from these publications in order for me or another new page reviewer to be able to assess the article? signed, Rosguill talk 01:36, 26 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Rosguill: Unfortunately there was no internet in the '80s or earlier, so most online publications don't offer such old archives online. However, I can provide scanned excerpts from these publications. I don't know if setting a picture gallery is the right approach. Would you mind specifying which ones are needed? Or maybe a better suggestion?
Thank you in advance and Merry Christmas! Dragosdutu (talk) 15:19, 26 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Dragosdutu, between the Colorfoto, Zoom, and Photo Magazine citations, it would be helpful if you could send me scans of prose text that give biographical information about Alexandre. Even just two or three paragraphs would be enough for me to confirm that these are real citations and the others are likely ok as well. You can email them to me by using the sidebar link on my talk page. signed, Rosguill talk 18:41, 26 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Rosguill: I can't send attachments using the integrated tool (it accepts plain text only). Instead, I uploaded the scans for the talk page:

Dragosdutu, Ok, this is clearly enough coverage, thanks for your cooperation. Unless the copyright on these has expired (doubtful), they need to be taken down from Wikimedia Commons, however, as it is a copyright violation to host them there. signed, Rosguill talk 17:45, 27 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Rosguill: Thank you too for the answer. If I remove the picture gallery from the talk page, will the pictures be automatically deleted? I don't know if it's possible for me to physically delete a picture from Wikipedia Commons Dragosdutu (talk) 18:05, 27 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Dragosdutu, see the instructions here, you may get a bit of a slap on the wrist for having uploaded files that you didn't have copyright permissions for, but if you're proactive about removing them it shouldn't be too big of a deal. For next time you're in a situation like this, just send an email using the interface; once the other person replies to the email you'll be able to send emails back and forth from your regular email interface. signed, Rosguill talk 18:14, 27 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
