[edit]Lock this page up. Been too much vandalism on it. some ppl thought it would be so funny to write she's lesbian... I think this is because of Ubisofts raffle to give the winners some kind of a date with her.. not serious I think btw but as said some stupid guys thought their edit would make people sa they're great...sry my English is not very good but I think I could have a good point at this. --89.247.201.104 19:48, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
Do we lock up pages on Nazism because of would-be contributors' abuses of Godwin's Law? No -- because Wikipedia utilizes editorial scrutiny when an article is tainted with undocumented allegations and inappropriate personal sentiment. If Wikipedia can streamline articles on Hillary Clinton and Rush Limbaugh despite public animosity, they can do it for an article on Jade Raymond. As long as the public record is noted with specific references, the strengths of the article should outweigh its disadvantages.
Apart from Raymond's unquestionable level within her profession, as evidenced by her non-PR work with Sony, et al., one of the main reasons to allow the entry is to chronicle the extraordinary and documented pitch of sexual harassment that was directed against her on the internet and within the gaming community once she became a spokesperson for Ubisoft. Hers has been a unique situation, and sexual harassment is an important issue because of her status as a pioneering woman in the gaming field.
No need to "put the brakes" on an article in which the achievements of the subject warrant a sober entry, and even the worst aspects of the controversy have lasting cultural resonance. Notorious cases of defamation of character and verbal lynching are of particular relevance at this stage in the internet's development, as recent cases bear out (such as the case against Lori Drew after Megan Meier's suicide). --Sepium Gronagh (talk) 23:38, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
Game Quality
[edit]honestly I don't know why someone hasn't posted this yet, but has anyone realised the quality of Assassin's Creed games since Patrice's departure. To bring in Tower defence, a type of game that was unique to only the PC is annoying to control on the consoles. The lack of a long quality plot line for revelations or brotherhood. The constant DLC's that arn't even worth the money to buy due to the lack of substantial effort. I hope this current developer makes something more intriguing than the latest garbage. That said I hope the AC franchise revives. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DaTa78 (talk • contribs) 10:40, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
Comic Controversy
[edit]Folks I think we should let the whole incident play out so we can get some perspective on the entire thing, before we add it too the article. Lets just put the brakes on it for the moment. --Brokenscope (talk) 16:19, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
I accidentally deleted the article while trying to add a fact, I have no idea what I've done. I'm sorry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.226.21.7 (talk) 06:42, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
I dunno, I think that comic was pretty accurate. Why else would anyone want to run around Jerusalem collecting flags and other unoriginal side missions. 208.106.104.40 (talk) 20:10, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Programming
[edit]Is she really a programmer. I find it highly doubhtful that she worked as a programmer at sony online, and then went to producing games. 86.40.29.235 (talk) 03:38, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- It's well sourced, and not really all that surprising. Producers have to come from somewhere. If you look at the Video Game Producers category, a lot of them started their careers as either coders, or artists of some sort. APL (talk) 03:58, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
Deletion
[edit]She not very notable. Another employee in another company. If she weren't attractive this article would never have survived this long. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.240.140.31 (talk) 02:38, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
She is easily attractive enough to have her own article. Don Reba (talk) 05:51, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
- A more accurate reason why this article exists is that she passes the notability guideline for people: she has been the subject of significant coverage from multiple independent reliable sources. Moreover, the article was considered for deletion back in 2008, and kept; she was held to be notable then, and in general notability, once established, is permanent. If anyone wants to nominate this article for deletion again, you're welcome to do so, but I would not expect to see a different result. Robofish (talk) 17:39, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
Another Focal Point of Evaluating Jade Raymound
[edit]I believe that it is of significance to mention how does Jade think about the innovation that could be made to change the circumstance where at present male is the leading power of video games. How Jade views the position of female in gaming industry and future changes that can be made should be one of the focal point of Jade’s introduction page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.51.93.166 (talk) 20:30, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
