The article is too short
[edit]There exists a lot of literature on the subject. Hope someone will expand the article.
Given the lack of objections, I've redirected the article as proposed. Gimboid13 02:40, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Moved back by User:Aayush18 on 24 December 2011 with the rationale "Derasar as a word for Jain temples is only used by Gujarati Jains. Jains from UP, Delhi, Punjab and Marwari Jains use Jain Mandir. While Kannada Jains use Basadi. The general term is Jain temple" FlagSteward (talk) 13:30, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
- That is indeed generally true. It is interesting to note that Vasahi in Vimal Vasahi is same as Basadi. Also Derasar is "devashrya", on rare occasion also used for some Hindu shrines. Malaiya (talk) 22:49, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
Conversion
[edit]Claims are not supported by verifiable sources. Also mentioning undisclosed source do not qualify as content of wikipedia article. While writing neutrality to be retained.Yndesai (talk) 08:55, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
- Section re-written as a claim instead as a fact. Only details verifiable from the referred source retained. Yndesai (talk) 01:40, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

I propose to merge Bhonyra into this article since there won't be enough content to qualify a separate article. -- Pankaj Jain Capankajsmilyo (talk · contribs · count) 02:17, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
- Merge. They are part of Jain temple and there nothing special about an underground chamber to have a separate article.--Nizil (talk) 05:30, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
- Do not merge. Some temples, for several centuries, existed just as as Bhonyras, i.e. underground chambers, before they were discovered. Some of them emerged as tirthas, with Bhonyras as the focul point.Malaiya (talk) 22:44, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
- Merge. They are part of Jain temple and there nothing special about an underground chamber to have a separate article.--Nizil (talk) 05:30, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
I further propose to merge Jain house temple into this article since there won't be enough content to qualify a separate article. -- Pankaj Jain Capankajsmilyo (talk · contribs · count) 01:34, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
- Do not merge. Jain house temple is different from a common community temple. It is prohibited by custom in some parts of india, but is common in some parts. It is subject to special rules and customs.Malaiya (talk) 22:44, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
