I fixed the broken link by correcting the URL. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wheninsf (talkcontribs) 09:20, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've checked Special:Contributions/Wheninsf and can't find anything. --Cyfal (talk) 22:08, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Perry Mason?

[edit]

It is strange, to say the least, to see Jake Ehrlich described as a figure on whom the radio, TV, and movie character Perry Mason was based. Perry Mason is the protagonist of the detective novels by Erle Stanley Gardner. There is no mention of Jake Ehrlich in the Wikipedia entry on Perry Mason, here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perry_Mason.

It is possible that a few of the TV shows episodes were based on Ehrlich's cases, but it is not possible that Perry Mason was based on Ehrlich's life. Erle Stanley Gardner started writing Perry Mason novels in the early thirties, long before Ehrlich became well-known.
