Remove general notability guideline.

[edit]

I’ve added a lot more secondary sources to the article. What else would need to be done to remove the general notability guideline notice? Teddybertin (talk) 11:10, 17 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am connected to Goldheart Assembly's management and wrote some of the original entries used in this article. I was unable to recover my previous Wikipedia account so have had to create a new one. I am trying to ensure this article is presented correctly and, to the best of my understanding, I followed Wikipedia's guidance on how to flag issues like this, as the referencing in this article appears to be done in accordance with best practice. If you work for the band/its manangement, you are required by the Terms of Use to make a formal disclosure, see WP:PAID. If you are not employed by the band/its management and receive nothing from them for your work here, you will need to make the less strict conflict of interest disclosure.
A member of a band does not merit a standalone article about themselves unless they meet the definition of a notable person themselves, unrelated to their work with their band(Paul McCartney merits an article not because he was a member of The Beatles, but because he has a significant solo career). I think that's the reason for the tag. Personally, I'm not certain that he does- provided sources need to do more than merely show that he did work unrelated to the band(headed a record label, founded an ad agency), they need to show that independent sources consider this to be significant/important/influential in some way. 331dot (talk) 11:55, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
