Another Jim Blanchard
[edit]There is also a Jim Blanchard who made a name for himself in the alternative comics world, contributing to ANSWER Me! magazine, and sharing art credits with Peter Bagge in Hate (as well as being the subject of several short strips in issue #30). Unfortunately, that's all I know about him. --63.25.31.45 13:29, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Seal-of-Michigan.png
[edit]Image:Seal-of-Michigan.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

French Descent
[edit]Besides the origins of his last name, is there any definitive proof that he's of mostly, or even significantly French ancestary in time in his family's relatively recent history in the country? --Criticalthinker (talk) 01:12, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

NPOV?
[edit]The article seems very glowing for a governor who was ultimately voted out of power. It reads like it was written by his publicist. There is no explanation at all as to why he lost re-election in 1990. 2602:306:CFEA:170:4909:A638:CD08:F22F (talk) 03:13, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
Senior Adviser to MSU Interim President John Engler
[edit]I know it's pretty recent news, but he is serving as fellow former Michigan Governor Engler's (who is Michigan State University interim president) senior adviser. I don't have a reference, but if anyone does, please include the information in his article it it, as it's more than noteworthy enough to be included.ADg2k14 (talk) 04:17, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
