Where did the editors get their information about his career back in Scotland?

If he left Newfoundland for Scotland in 1877 how did he organise the reconstruction of the Cathedral burned down in 1892? This should be made clear.

Acording to the lists of bishops in Crockford's Clerical Directory, Church House,( to hand the 1989/90 edition p 960 )Kelly came after Eden and before Maclean as Bishop of Moray etc. From 1901 - 1904 he was Primus.
