1964 reports[edit]
The newspaper reports linked here relate to the arrests in Baltimore in 1964 and 1965 of James Ray Jr., "unemployed singer", aged 27 in 1964 so born circa 1937, who had been in jail between 1953 and 1962. I don't see any evidence at all that the person arrested in Baltimore is the same person as the one who is the subject of this article, who was born in 1941 as James Jay Raymond and recorded 1959-61.
