Can anyone help with fixing the photo of Janice please? Ondog 04:31, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You can't link to an external website for images. You'll need to upload a picture to Wikipedia. enochlau (talk) 00:52, 9 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Enoch, I'll try to upload the profile picture again. Ondog 07:56, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The image still doesn't work. It looks as if the upload failed(?) or you have down the wrong name... I would also suggest that the Profile section be expanded into prose, but otherwise, thanks for your contributions. enochlau (talk) 13:11, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks to the person who fixed the photo!

Avoid Peacook Terms

[edit]

I recently came across this article and found that the article itself contains quite a lot of cliche and peacock terms (like, nost talented female singers) which is not appropriate to the guidelines of Wikipedia. I would suggest making the article more factual and deals with less opinion. See:Wikipedia:Avoid peacock terms 219.78.67.131 07:50, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Sino-Korean"

[edit]

Not sure what the intended meaning of this term is here (linked to Chinese Korean, note that's a disambiguation page). Please help to disambiguate the link: do you mean Ethnic Chinese in Korea, Ethnic Koreans in China, or people of mixed Chinese and Korean descent (for whom no article or list exists yet). (And also similarly correct the link to Sino-Korean on Jill Vidal, since Sino-Korean is a linguistic term referring to Chinese loanwords in Korean, not to people. cab 15:09, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, created List of people of mixed Chinese and Korean descent and linked to that. cab 07:28, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Janice! Janice! Janice! What do u ppl think of her? i think she rocks! I her pic on the booklet for Do u Know she looks so cute/adorable! PRETTY! She Rocks! (74.122.185.27 22:14, 19 June 2007 (UTC))[reply]

I really don't know how to reference "Renee" and/or "Ming Lok Tai" (明樂蒂) and EEG Singing competition. I inserted a reference she was a Bar Singer, however "Renee" is still a "?". I think we could not do anything except can anyone contract TVB for video confirmation. I do think all are facts, but I really try searching as much as possible. Can Wiki just accept these fact and remove the Reference tabs. Since these are the only reference this article need (User:My_wing_hk) —Preceding undated comment added 11:02, 20 July 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Cover art in critical commentary

[edit]

According to WP:Fair use#Images, cover art may qualify as fair use "in the context of critical commentary of that item". So I have added Image:JaniceVidalCover.jpg (cover of her second album) in the section of the article that specifically discussed her second album. Please let me know if I'm applying policy correctly here. Copyright issues on WP can sometimes be confusing. Hong Qi Gong (Talk - Contribs) 21:57, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Statement lacking reliable sources

[edit]
Vidal's stated long-term vision is to become a R&B artist to hit the Billboard in the United States[citation needed].

The above statement has been tagged as lacking sources since feb 2007, it has been removed as a reliable source cannot be found so farRealdan 08:58, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

statement may not make sense

[edit]
In My first concert, Janice stated that she was signed by Amusic when she was 18 (year 2000). However Leon thought that she could not speak Cantonese properly back then and allocated her to work as an office assistance.

how can she be signed by amusic in 2000 when amusic was formed in 2004? And Leon back then still has a contract with Sony music. Written Source has to be given as to the exact statements she made about it all.Realdan 16:26, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry got it wrong from Chinese Wiki however newspaper source was found in Google Cache and therefore correct it and put reference

Pop charts

[edit]

I have a feeling that it would be better if we could give the links to the page as reference regarding the chart position of the particular song that way it would be easier to verify the authenticity of the chart postion..what do you guys/gsls think? Realdan (talk) 19:39, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

BEST known simply as "Janice"?

[edit]

I reverted this edit as it appears to contradict other parts of the article, so I think it should be challenged and a valid <ref> supplied before it's put back.

The rest of the article currently gives the impression that she's not BEST know by a single name, but if she is I would agree that it should be mentioned in the lead, if a valid <ref> to suit can be provided.

Also the article referred to her 6 times as "Janice" and 11 times as "Vidal"; I standardised that to "Vidal", per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (biographies)#Subsequent uses of names. If a <ref> stating that she's BEST known as simply "Janice" can be found, then "Vidal" should be changed to "Janice".

I also updated the infobox-othername field to include Wei Lan (衛蘭), Ming Lok Tai (明樂蒂), and Renee. 58.8.8.75 (talk) 19:58, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
