@TenPoundHammer: Alright Bobby, I made some changes, you let me know what you think! ChrisTofu11961 (talk) 22:23, 17 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose, spelling, and grammar): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
  • I would suggest not putting footnotes in the middle of sentences unless there is a punctuation mark. Things like "she found limited success in California[5] but did win a talent contest." look awkward and in that case, the footnote should probably be moved to the end of the sentence.
    • Done.
  • "During the decade, she would also collaborate on songs with Ray Charles and Larry Gatlin." - I would recommend including the names of these songs if possible.
    • Done.
  • Is there more to say about the First Word in Memory album?
    • Not much that I could find. I added that Bob Montgomery produced it. Not every album needs a full discussion I don't think.
  • I would recommend changing "Country LP's chart" and variants thereof to something like "Billboard country albums chart" or "Billboard Top Country Albums" for consistency.
    • Corrected that.
  • I changed a couple sub-headers to a more neutral tone.
    • Fair. The Columbia Records title did not really capture that section. That was when she had her biggest success as a recording artist, which is a fact. So I changed it to "commercial peak", which I think is more neutral.
  • The sources are well-chosen and I didn't see any that might be unreliable.
    • Cool.
  1. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (reference section): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR): d (copyvio and plagiarism):
  2. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
You're good at covering all of the major points without over- or under-writing.
  3. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  4. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  5. It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free content have non-free use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
I nominated one image for deletion because its 1978 copyright date meant that it fell outside the "up to 1977 without a copyright notice". I swapped it out for a picture of Johnny Duncan given his relevance to her career. Per MOS:ALT, I would recommend adding alt text to the images.
  6. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
