List[edit]

As this is a list, should not the article be renamed List of Japanese citrus?--Chef Christopher Allen Tanner, CCC (talk) 03:26, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is room to add more descriptive information, so that it will not be solely a list. I see you did not object to the failure of whatever "bot" deleted all the "Japanese citrus" categories to substitute "Japanese ingredients" categories (leaving some Japanese citrus fruit articles with no category at all). That's really too bad. Badagnani (talk) 03:33, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As long as more information will be added. Try not to be assertive with comments such as that btw, you know me to be a excellent editor and saying something like that is not appropriate. I am a full-time grad student taking 18 credits, I don't spend all day on here watching everything going on. I do have a number of final papers due and as such, Wikipedia is not my top priority. Someone pointed out the category deletion issue with Japanese citrus on my talk page so I came and took a look at it, I apologize if you are taking my response personally, but if you had brought this issue to me on my talk page I would have addressed it as well. You are always welcome to add tags on yourself, that is part of the process of being on Wikipedia.--Chef Christopher Allen Tanner, CCC (talk) 04:00, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You did comment on the deletion page that the category had no merit, then when the categories were removed, the proper upper-level categories were not replaced. I can't count the number of times this has happened, and no matter how many times I comment to the closing admins or editors running the bots, they will never correct themselves. You can see some sample discussion in this vein at User talk:Cydebot. If it's always just me asking that the categories be properly substituted after a subcategory deletion, it really doesn't work well. I did comment on this and you did not back me up. Banpeiyu vs. Zabon[edit]

Should the word "pomelo" be moved from Banpeiyu to Zabon, as the latter is the generic Japanese word for pomelo whereas the former is a cultivar? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Homusubi (talkcontribs) 12:34, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
