<< His report was presented to the public on January 4, 1971, but by mid-November of 1970, it was clear that his mission had failed.>>

Either dates need to be corrected or wording clarified. Was it already clear that the mission had failed at the time of the public announcement?

The sentence and the November date is wrong - it had reached a temporary impasse in November, iirc he went back to Moscow for a while then. But the most active phase of the mission was after the report, in February-March 1971, with the "Jarring initiative". As it stands this sentence is wrong and the article is quite misleading. Good that there's a new link, this article needs a much bigger and more accurate treatment.John Z (talk) 16:21, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Golda accepted Egyptian sovereignty[edit]

@IRISZOOM::I added 4 references to the following text: "On 28 February 1973, during a visit in Washington, D.C., the then Israeli prime minister Golda Meir agreed with the then U.S. National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger's peace proposal based on "security versus sovereignty": Israel would accept Egyptian sovereignty over all Sinai, while Egypt would accept Israeli presence in some of Sinai strategic positions, according to Yitzhak Rabin.

since this text is Supported by 2 wp:rs (Kumaraswamy, Spiegel), I will delete the "according to Yitzhak Rabin". Ykantor (talk) 19:20, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Okay then. Do you have any comment on the issue I raised at Talk:Arab–Israeli conflict that relates to this? I am thinking about what Rabin wrote about earlier statements (which can also be found referenced in WP:RS)? Why only talk about what Meir thought in February 1973 and not the older statements as Jarring's report was presented to the public in January 1971? --IRISZOOM (talk) 20:32, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'll reply there. Ykantor (talk) 03:10, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
