Mayor?

[edit]

I don’t believe he’s the mayor 2600:1700:BA0:944F:BCD0:4882:A53F:861C (talk) 02:13, 9 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Achievements

[edit]

Jason Kelce has achieved more than most other starting centers in the league. He is the first center to sing Christmas carols. He also dressed up as a mummer and gave a speech. 24.229.228.218 (talk) 04:44, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

In the Personal Life section, some vandalism about his father from user BoltsEagles says: "Ed Kelce is a noted extraterrestrial hunter and enthusiast." Alistaircom (talk) 23:13, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Birthplace

[edit]

Why is he (correctly) listed as having been born in Ohio in the Early Life section, but erroneously listed as having been born in North Carolina in the statistics block? 216.24.45.38 (talk) 18:46, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The misinformation was introduced here. I have corrected the infobox. --Kinu t/c 21:53, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Jason Kelce is retired confirmed

[edit]

See the news 2600:1013:B023:8DCF:E1AB:D0C5:8AFD:FCF6 (talk) 17:48, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@2600:1013:B023:8DCF:E1AB:D0C5:8AFD:FCF6: Here's the thing, it actually isn't confirmed. It's only reported. Kelce and the Eagles neither one have confirmed this report. It's probably true, but until the Eagles or Kelce himself confirm it, the article should not be updated.--Rockchalk717 19:00, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I did see the news. It says that an anonymous source said that some team members (not named) said that Jason Kelce hinted that me may be retiring. 12.116.29.106 (talk) 19:40, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly. And that's exactly why we can't add it. Again, he probably is retiring, we just don't have the confirmation from him or the Eagles and that might take a day or two before a public announcement is made.--Rockchalk717 20:40, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It’s confirmed. It’s over. He’s retired. 2601:40E:8103:2960:F439:2688:89ED:C007 (talk) 23:32, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Summarized from Jason Kelce's mouth on his podcast: That is not a decision you make right after a game. He knows what has been leaked in the press. He has not announced his retirement decision one way or the other. He does not know what the future holds. 68.187.175.212 (talk) 15:07, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

On the news, it said Jason Kelce was confirmed retired on Pennsylvania news 2601:988:C300:2050:89CA:C44C:5E53:A055 (talk) 22:23, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"The news"... that is about as vague as sourcing can get. This is a BLP, and nothing stating "he's retired" can be added without a reliable source saying that (and not "rumored to have" or "might" or "will probably"), especially given that the subject of the article himself said this today. --Kinu t/c 22:33, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It is possible to state at the end of his career section that after the Eagles playoff loss, multiple media reports indicated that Jason Kelce intended to retire. There are many references for that. It appears that everyone wants something to report so badly that they are trying to force him to retire just so they can report on it. 68.187.175.212 (talk) 15:14, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stat table

[edit]

@Rockchalk717 I get that most offensive linemen don't have stat tables, but you stating "this is completely unsourced" is false. Kelce's "stats" were all sourced from Pro Football Ref, including the snaps and penalties if you scroll down his page. The table also had his PFR page linked. HappyBoi3892 (talk) 17:53, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@HappyBoi3892: I didn't see that (facepalm). I was looking for a citation and didn't notice "career" was an external link. But yes stat tables aren't included because there aren't any actual stats that's are easily verifiable for them. There's pancakes and sacks allowed, but those stats can be kinda hard to find.--Rockchalk717 19:03, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
