Loomis Chaffee School?[edit]

Is there a source that says he went to Loomis Chaffee? Hong Qi Gong (Talk - Contribs) 20:50, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes - published school records. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.235.87.113 (talk) 01:50, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Can you provide it? Hong Qi Gong (Talk - Contribs) 03:01, 24 January 2009 (UTC)https://www.loomischaffee.org/podium/default.aspx?t=204 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.235.87.113 (talk) 03:57, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

First Lady Selects Loomis Chaffee Alum for Inauguration Gown Design

1/21/2009 Move over Oscar, Carolina and Narciso … there’s a new kid in town, Loomis Chaffee alum Jason Wu ‘01.

What once seemed like a “long shot” has come to life for the young designer. First Lady Michelle Obama chose the designer’s floor-length silk chiffon one-shouldered creation for her Inauguration gown. The design featured head-to-toe organza floral detail with Swarovski crystal rhinestones. The First Lady’s statuesque figure complimented the dresses long Hollywood-glamour sculpture, a signature of Wu’s evening collection.

Thanks! I'll add it to the article. Hong Qi Gong (Talk - Contribs) 04:03, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sexual orientation[edit]

Jason Wu is openly gay. Why in the world would this be omitted from the article?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.74.75.149 (talkcontribs)

Perhaps because it's a short new article and nobody put it in yet? Also, perhaps American society has reached a point of acceptance where one's being straight or queer is no longer considered a primary biographical detail. It's certainly nothing out of the ordinary, especially not in the fashion industry. But if you have a reliable source and think it's important it would go in a section under a "personal life" heading, together with where he grew up, who his parents were, where he lives now, and other non-career details. To expand on Wikidemon's answer, WP:CATGRS states "Categories should not be based on sexuality unless the sexuality has a specific relation to the topic." momoricks 01:22, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
