More information expected

We know for a fact, that the entire JAT fleet was grounded until few days ago, due to issues with the maintenance provider (see here). We don't know if this may have caused the accident, nor if possible inappropriate maintenance may result in a grounding of their fleet.

Furthermore, there are photographs of injured passengers being evacuated (see the referenced B92 site), although until now there is no report on injuries. Also, there are reports on aircraft damage, although they are still unconfirmed.

So we expect more information and until then, I would restrain from deleting it...

Well, I will wait a few days, but if nothing more than this emerges I will take it to Articles for deletion, together with the similar article Jat Airways flight JU-420, citing WP:NOT#NEWS and WP:AIRCRASH. JohnCD (talk) 15:23, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- I know I said I would wait a few days, but 24 hours later I have looked round the web and it seems clear this was just a simple runway over-run with no injuries, so I am taking it,and the other article, to AfD. Under that process deletion will not happen for seven days, so there is still time if something sinister or significant should turn up. JohnCD (talk) 20:42, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
