Martin Luther King, Jr

[edit]

Why does it say posthumous? MLK was assassinated in 1968. Zweifel (talk) 17:34, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

And ditto for Olaf Palme. This states that he received the award posthumously in 1985 but he wasn't killed until 1986. Another entry, for 2004, states that the award for that year has not yet been presented. Maybe the issue with King and Palme is that the recipient was named earlier but the award was not formally conferred until after the individual's untimely death. This could be made clearer. On the contrary: King and Palme were nominated posthumously, for earlier years that would have been left blank otherwise.

By the way: There is no Pruthvi Raj. There may be a Prithvi Raj... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.0.131.57 (talk) 01:03, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
