The "Initiated by the revolutionary socialists" paragraph lifts almost verbatim from its sources ([1] and [2]). It needs to be rewritten in paraphrase in an original formulation to avoid copyright violations. In a pinch, the paragraph may need to be rewritten to avoid violation in the near-term. czar 14:21, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • There is (also in the translated French article) a quotation from Lavignette, L'affaire Liabeuf. Brief verbatim excerpts from copyrighted material are OK per WP:NFCCP but this is too long, I guess, and in my view it's not very informative and relevant. Rather than paraphrase it, I will drop it (while trying to retain the meaningful wikilink to Apaches (subculture).
  • The other content+source (Serge) was added by me. Obviously I think it's relevant. No doubt a better work can be done at paraphrasing it, but I had already made an effort and it's hard for me to find something else while retaining the two basic information it contains: 1) Miguel Almereyda wrote that if they dared use the guillotine, there would be more blood around it than under it 2) Miguel Almereyda called on the people of Paris to prevent the execution by force. I'll do my best but please, if you are not safisfied with it, improve rather than remove.
