Isn't it Jean Nicollet? My textbook says Jean Nicollet (1598-1642) Could be a typo though.

You are correct in that the name was probably used originally with "tt". Common usage now appears to favour the single "t". The article was originally the former and will be found by using that spelling. Does that help? --Stormbay (talk) 03:13, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
