Jeanne Le Ber 1662-1714
[edit]I had come to this web site in the hopes that there would be some information about the recluse, Jeanne Le Ber.
She had spent thirty-four years in solitude at the time of the founding of Ville-Marie (Montreal). The Recluse Sisters, were founded in Alberta, Canada in 1943 by two Montrealers, Rita Renaud and Jeannette Roy, and by Father Louis-Marie Parent, Oblate of Mary Immaculate. "For the Recluse Sisters her life is still an inspiration."*
