"Dangerousroads.org" seems to have taken some of the information from previous information on this article so using it for citation seems to be a catch 22.

Additionally, I'm unsure if it is the highest peak. There is a summit/peak to the east in the same range with 2 high spots (hard to pick the main one). It is unclear if it is Oman or the UAE due to different placements of borders on different map providers (google/OSM etc.).

Also access seems to be temporarily allowed now. On my last visit the military had moved down the road 5km and allowed access. The day before however they blocked access at the standard junction by the town/village of mayer (Sp).

Additionally I believe the mountain name means something like 'observation' in Arabic. Could a fluent Arabic speaker confirm this or better translate this please?
