Robbed[edit]

I was wondering if anyone else thought he was robbed in his fight with Azuma Nelson? It barely rates a mention on both pages and he's a very significant Australian boxer.Ticklemygrits 10:30, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just saw footage of the fight, it was an absolute farce. Fenech was clearly the better fighter and was absolutely outraged at the decision. The judges were either corrupt or inept, but I haven't the inclination to go find a reference. jamie 10:40, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Peaceful end to Sydney siege

A siege in Sydney has ended peacefully, with a man walking out of a gym where he had barricaded himself in for six hours, police say.

Specialist police and negotiators spent hours outside the gym on Victoria Street at Lewisham, communicating with the man who locked himself inside the building about 12.20pm (AEST) today.

The 43-year-old man refused to leave the premises or let anyone in, a police spokeswoman said.

Assistant Police Commissioner Frank Menelli said it was not clear if he had any weapons, and as a result, specialist units were called to the scene.

"A male person ... at approximately 6pm this evening walked out from those premises and is currently assisting police with their investigations," he told reporters at the scene. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.243.60.12 (talk) 00:45, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Where is the relevance to Fenech and what supports the allegations by gambling and unapproved construction. -- Mattinbgn\talk 00:56, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He is training up to four times a week at Lewisham gym “The Shark Tank” – a fit- ness centre set up by Fenech and his supporters.

If you phone Leichhardt Council (02) 9367 9222 they would have a record of the public notice they placed on the premises indicating that the establishment does not have consent to operate as a gym or operate as a bar serving alcohol. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.243.60.12 (talk) 01:37, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
