May 2022 Updates

May 2022 Notes on PROPOSED DELETION[edit]

  • I'm removing the advert and puffery template messages as they were added in Nov 2019 and the page is considerably reduced since that time. Looks like most of the "puffery" and "advert" stuff is now gone.
  • The article is so barebones now. Based on his Twitter, the subject is keeping a low profile, but his work with the COVID-19 database was interesting and IMHO worthy of someone adding a section.
  • Upon further investigation, I am going to nominate this page for deletion. The subject of the article is not notable. At first I thought he created the phrase "data scientist," but that page on Wikipedia lists others who used it prior.

Notability based on quote[edit]

I guess Jeff Hammerbacher could be notable based on a statement he originated: "The best minds of my generation are thinking about how to make people click ads." Source: https://quoteinvestigator.com/2017/06/12/click/ Obviously, one can argue now about how notable this quote is. A Google search for the exact phrase yields 14,800 results (as of June 28, 2022). I would consider that notable. --Ruebezahl (talk) 09:03, 28 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
