Partiality?

[edit]

This is an odd piece, which reads a bit like an authors biography on the inside of a book's just-jacket. Googling doesn't show it to be copy-pasted from anywhere, and neither does research make him out to be as eminent as this article; which leads me to suspect that it was written either by himself, or by one of his students. Having met Dr. Malpas, this doesn't seem entirely out of the question. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.171.190.97 (talk) 10:58, 19 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This entry would be more credible if it cited reviews or considerations of the author's work that demonstrated its prominence in the field of philosophy (or the study of 'place'). As it is, it reads like the author himself wrote it, wishfully thinking that a self-penned wikipedia entry would assure his legacy. This entry should be either filled out with quotes as to Malpas' thought, or it should be radically cut down in length. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.182.55.229 (talk) 02:31, 29 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The above comments seem right. A lot of the aggrandizing material in this entry should be supported by citations of some sort, or deleted. 137.132.3.8 (talk) 18:57, 13 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
